Responsible Management of Licensed Venues

RMLV Training is mandatory for all approved managers of a licensed venue. As of January 1, 2009 this could also affect anyone applying for new licenses, transfers of license or change of nominee. Managers will need to complete the Responsible Management of Licensed Venues course if they have not completed the course in the last three years or have not held the same type of license within the last three years.


The Responsible Management of Licensed Venues is an area of significant risk both in regulatory compliance and ever increasing duty of care and litigation. This training course focuses on the Liquor Act 1992 and regulations.

This course was developed by the Queensland Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing to regulate the running of licensed venues. The course is a face to face two day program and held at regular intervals in various locations.
